Pumpkin Patch

Don't forget to visit a local pumpkin patch here in Forney, Tx. It's located at The Gentle Zoo off of Fm 2932. While there picking out your pumpkin, you can ride a train, take a walk through the giant maze, jump crazy in a bounce house, spend some time in the petting zoo, and play in the carnival games.

"Our Petting Zoo offers "hands on" petting and feeding of domestic and exotic animals and birds. We have farm animals and birds commonly found throughout North America as well as from places like Central and South America, and Africa. There is something for everyone to see and enjoy. Our friendly Dallas petting zoo is a wonderful place for birthday parties, school fieldtrips, scout troops, family reunions, Church events, playgroup meetups and company events. You can also visit Rockwall Pumpkin Patch located at Ridge Road Shopping Center. It's open daily from 9am-7pm until October 30th. They have a place specifically designed for photo to be taken, a challenging hay maze and storytimes. Saturday events include magicians, Rockwall youth choir concert, visits from Joybelle the Clown and a puppeteer and pumpkin carving.

Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo - "The gates creep open the nights of Oct. 28-31 for a not-so-scary celebration. The Zoo will close at 4 p.m. and reopen at 6 p.m. for a not-so-scary Halloween celebration. Dance the Monster Mash, work off that sugar rush with Witch-ercize, visit the colorful, themed candy stations to trick-or-treat, ride the Haunted Carousel – in reverse, see nursery-rhyme characters in the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo, visit the Giants of the Savanna – not the jolly, green giants. See the Heckler Puppet Show and a new animal show, too. You’ll have s’more fun this Halloween at the Dallas Zoo. BOO at the Fort Worth Zoo - "This year, Boo at the Zoo is ALL NEW! We have given this long-standing event a facelift with new DAYTIME HOURS. Boo at the Zoo will feature many of the same great events, shows, games and candy PLUS more animals! Boo at the Zoo activities will take place at the Zoo's special events site, but the entire park will be ready for Halloween. So put on your favorite costume and come celebrate with us. October 22-24 and 29-31 from Noon to 5pm. Some of the scheduled activities include: carnival games, treat stations , Tot Spot for the "little ghouls", and animals galore! $3 per admission to Boo at the Zoo."

Autumn at the Arboretum - "See the Only Pumpkin Village in the World!Each year the pumpkin festival gets bigger and better and this year is no exception! Don’t miss the Storybook Pumpkin Village, the only pumpkin village in the world, with four walk-through houses made completely out of pumpkins. Each house will represent a children’s book that features pumpkins in the story. The houses will be surrounded by thousands of pumpkins and decorative gourds as well as The Tom Thumb Pumpkin Patch where guests can pick out and purchase pumpkins for their family decorations."

Halloween at the Heard Natural Science Museum - October 22 and 23 from 6-10pm. Trick or Trea along the trails of Dinosaurs Live!, costume contests, booths for games and giveaways, complimentary photo, flashlight and trick or treat bag, walk through the outdoor and indoor exhibits, family movie and concessions. 94.9 KLTY will be LIVE at the event!

Great Wolf Lodge Howl-O-Ween - "From October 8-31.... Enjoy thrills and chills as we celebrate Howl-O-Ween. This spooktacular event is fun, safe, and just a boo-bit scary. Sam's Day Halloween at Northpark - "This event is FREE in honor of Sam Killian. Sam’s Day is on Saturday October 30th from 11 AM to 5 PM in CenterPark at NorthPark Center, Dallas.
